Kyndryl has signed a deal with HMRC to manage some of its mainframe services and prepare the agency for cloud migration.

The deal, which is worth £4.4 million, is contracted to last to end of September 2024, and will see Kyndryl support HMRC to develop more agile operations with modern IT architecture.

HMRC directly contracted Kyndryl through the G-Cloud Framework, a UK government initiative that allows public bodies to procure cloud services from government-approved providers via ab online catalogue.

Kyndryl Consult will utilise existing partnerships with Microsoft and the Advanced Computer Software Group to modernise HMRC’s operations for the future, working collaboratively with HMRC staff.
