Teledata has appointed Keysource as lead contractor for its new MCR2 facility, backed by funding from investment company UBS.
Keysource will be responsible for delivering on sustainability goals set out by a ‘whole life carbon’ calculation of the facility and a stage 2 carbon assessment. Using existing planning permission, the project will be a combined design and planning application to ensure the integration of local regeneration goals.
Keysource has said it will also utilise computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in the design process, ensuring that the available site power capacity and available space to increase rack count capacity is maximised, providing annualised PUE of less than 1.15 for this.

Teledata was acquired by Datum Datacentres in September 2022, which was itself acquired by funds managed by the UBS Asset Management Real Estate & Private Markets business (REPM) in September 2021.
