Is there anything technology can’t do? Felcana and the iconic Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium have announced a collaboration set to support the continued research into how digital technology can be used to promote animal welfare.
The study will involve using Felcana’s pet health monitoring products to provide unique insights into specific calorie expenditure, rest and activity patterns of indoor, rescue cats.
Founded by experienced veterinarians, Felcana is an award-winning, intelligent pet care platform. Its digital pet health monitoring products and services help owners look after their pet’s health and provide vets, nurses and pet health professionals with the data they need.
Established in 2016, Felcana combines state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, data analytics and veterinary expertise and provides users with on-demand veterinary advice and critical insights into their pet’s well-being.
Using this innovative technology, Felcana and Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium aim to provide new data about indoor cats’ behaviour, rest and activity patterns.
Founded in 2014, cult café, Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium is the UK’s longest running cat café, home to over 12 rescue cats.
With more than 250,000 followers across their social platforms, Lady Dinah’s aim to promote the best in at-home pet care techniques and products through their brand and social channels.
It will use Felcana’s products and services to streamline their existing data collection activities and log their cats’ health and environmental information in one organised platform.
Felcana will work with Lady Dinah’s to continue validating their calorie expenditure algorithm and accelerate specific-behaviour algorithms.
Felcana has just launched a new fundraising campaign on leading equity crowdfunding platform, Seedrs, to raise £80,000. Fresh investment will support Felcana in commercialising their digital pet care platform and in driving revenue through new product sales and commission.
