iland, a global cloud service provider, has announced that its iland LabEngine has been awarded the ‘Best Virtualisation and Cloud Infrastructure Platform Award’ at the Best of VMworld 2018 Awards.
TechTarget’s Best of VMworld Awards recognise the most outstanding products on display at VMware’s annual user conference. The Virtualisation and Cloud Infrastructure Platform category recognises products designed to enable organisations to build virtual infrastructures, including compute and storage hardware, as well as software products designed to manage or virtualise hardware. The winners were revealed at a ceremony at VMworld 2018 show floor in Las Vegas on 30th August 2018.
In today’s fast-paced enterprise, IT departments are under pressure to deliver agile and scalable solutions for a variety of internal teams. This puts a huge burden on IT to allocate infrastructure resources to build, deploy and manage their teams’ required systems.
iland LabEngine allows organisations to rapidly deploy and scale virtual environments that can be used for testing, QA, internal and external training and technical sales enablement. iland LabEngine enables users to quickly create environments based on new or existing virtual machines. These environments can be saved as templates and deployed in scale through the iland platform.
Organisations can create elaborate environments, including nested hypervisors, complex networking and multiple virtual machines. With the ability to include instructor views and user guides, organisations can quickly get users working with their provisioned environments. The Best of VMworld 2018 Awards’ judges said that iland LabEngine, “Offers flexibility in providing customised labs on demand to suit a variety of training needs.”
“Due to the explosive growth of HPE Storage and Big Data, we needed help with the demand for training and demo labs for internal sales and technical teams as well as channel partners,” said Patrick Osborne, HPE VP & GM Big Data and Secondary Storage.
“iland is helping us deploy faster and deliver a consistent and reliable training and enablement experience for our teams globally. Through this partnership we are able to deliver a high level of service, with a great partner, deployed on HPE Storage infrastructure.”
Dante Orsini, iland SVP of Business Development commented, “Until now, building a virtual training environment was expensive and time-consuming. Demo labs were costly and underutilised and proof-of-concepts required heavy investment in time and resources from the customer.
iland is proud to help companies deliver high quality content in an easy-to-manage, highly-scalable, cost-effective and reliable environment. We are delighted to win this award and to have iland LabEngine recognised in this way.”
