Soben makes new senior leadership appointments

Soben has announced a series of senior promotions after a year of growth, specifically in the data centre sector.

Headquartered in Glasgow, Soben has taken on several major data centre developments across Europe and the Americas.

The new appointments are designed to ensure Soben is well-positioned for its projected growth in 2025 and the future, and include:

Joe Cusick, who has been promoted to Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will now oversee Soben’s global service delivery. Since joining the company in 2021, Cusick has led the company’s expansion into the Americas, where Soben now has operations across the US, Chile, Brazil and Mexico.

Colin Smith, promoted to Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from his role as Group Financial Director. In his new role, he will take responsibility for managing finance, commercial operations, controls, reporting, and compliance across the group.

Robert Kim, promoted to CEO, Americas, will take on this region from Joe Cusick. Kim has been at Soben since 2021 where he has led the North American business.

Mark Smith, has been promoted to Group Account Executive, where he will be supporting the company’s largest global tech client with their expansion plans.

Finally, Pieter Schaap has been promoted to Group Development Director, and will be dedicated to working with Soben’s most important data centre clients to support their growth.
