Are we ready for the cooling challenges of high-density compute?

The emergence of processing-intensive trends like AI and HPC means data centres are facing unprecedented thermal demands. This will require a new approach to cooling infrastructure – not only to maintain performance, but also to ensure energy efficiency and stay mindful of sustainability metrics.

This April, don’t miss Critical Insight: Cooling in Focus, an exploration into how data centre cooling is evolving to meet new challenges.

Join Moderator Venessa Moffat as she heads up a panel of experts who will delve into the impact that developments like AI and HPC will have on data centre cooling – now and in the future.

Vanessa is an Advisory Board Member for the Data Centre Alliance, as well as being a member of the IET and BCS. An innovation and growth specialist, she has a wealth of experience developing businesses in the digital economy, with 20 years’ experience in the data centre and tech industries.

Taking part in the panel alongside Vanessa will be:

Alex Brew. Alex is the Regional Director, Northern Europe for Vertiv. With a background in engineering, R&D and critical cooling solutions, he has over a decade of experience at Vertiv, and will steer the company’s strategy as it expands its reach in Northern Europe;

Tor Björn Minde. Tor’s current role is as Director, Head of ICE Data Centre Unit at RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden). His experience runs the gamut from a position as Board Member for the Swedish Data Centre Industry, as well as a career at Ericsson Research than spanned more than 30 years;

Keith MacLean-Martin. Keith is the Technical Director for Power Piller Systems. With an extensive knowledge of UPS, he has two decades of experience in the development and integration of high power rotary UPS solutions within mission critical facilities.
