Vantage Data Centers has announced a second London data centre campus – LHR2 – to be located in Park Royal.
Backed by a £250 million investment, LHR2 will comprise a 20 MW capacity data centre across 194,000 sqft. The facility will utilise sustainable design features and will connect to the local district heating network to recycle waste heat for use by the local community.
LHR2 is set to be operational early 2025.
“Expanding our presence in London, the largest of the FLAP data centre markets and one of the largest global markets, enables Vantage to meet unprecedented demand for critical IT capacity and helps strengthen the region’s digital infrastructure,” said Antoine Boniface, President, EMEA for Vantage Data Centers. “Vantage’s unique ability to rapidly scale to this magnitude continues to set the company apart from the rest of the industry.”
The new campus follows the announcement of its London-based 48 MW LHR1 campus earlier this year. Combined with Vantage’s Cardiff site, LHR2 will be the company’s third campus in the UK. Once fully developed, the combined sites will offer customers 216 MW of IT capacity.
