1547 Critical Systems Realty has unveiled new data hall capacity at its flagship data centre facility in Orangeburg, New York.
The expansion adds an extra 16,800 sqft of space along with 2 MW of power to the site.
According to 1547, the company worked with Rockland County to secure a sales tax abatement on new hardware for data centre and colocation customers coming into Orangeburg. The abatement offers 8.35% savings on all qualified capital purchases to reduce the cost for rack deployments at the facility.
The Orangeburg site is directly connected to 60 Hudson Street in New York City, providing round trip latency in under 1 millisecond, the company said in a statement.
“We are excited about the completion of this additional space and power to our flagship location,” commented J Todd Raymond, CEO and Managing Partner of 1547.
“Our Orangeburg data centre facility will continue to meet the increasing demand of space, power and connectivity for our customers in the New York metropolitan area.”
