Talking Tech, organised by Custodian Data Centres, is an event built for IT leaders, which is hosted twice a year at the Maidstone TV Studios in Kent. Exclusive to senior IT professionals only, the event is built on a refreshing ‘sales-free’ ethos, with a strict approach to ensuring no vendors turn up with a sales-agenda and the attendees do not push their services to one-and-other.
Drew Morley, Talking Tech’s event organiser said, “Talking Tech has been built up over the past year on ensuring the IT community who attend takeaway valuable insight without feeling sold-to.
“We have found that most events are the same these days – pushy vendors, a lack or real information and cliché sales. We want our attendees to drive events and really debate and discuss topics with industry leading companies who can give genuine insight as to how they can improve their IT function.”
Attendees of the free event get to vote on two main topics to discuss at the next event, with IT security and containerisation both chosen for April 2019. Leading security service providers Secure Data and social media monitoring service Brandwatch have recently been announced as discussion leaders at this event in the spring.
Etienne Greeff, CTO and founder of Secure Data, will speak on IT security and its role when it comes to AI. Luke Whiting, senior software developer at Brandwatch, will speak on managing mircoservices, software defined networking and ingress to secure clusters, monitoring and health checking in a multi-service environment.
Both talks will be followed by 40-minute panel discussions on each topic, with panels due to be announced. Their last event held in September 2018 included speakers from Oracle, Advanced and Holiday Extras.
The next Talking Tech event, which is free to attend, will be held on April 25th 2019 between 8.30am and midday at the Maidstone TV studios in Kent. The agenda includes a free breakfast, roundtable discussion and networking opportunity with fellow industry peers, which includes SME’s to blue-chip companies from around the South East.
Registration for the event is now open at custodiandc.com/events.
